Morm. Aftermath (Mark Mills x Midnight Hooker) was a breakthrough in flower color. Morm. hookeri is a favorite Mormodes species, with a very dark red flower and a textured lip reminiscent of black velvet. From this cross we expect the unexpected in flower color. Will the neon orange and spots of Aftermath prevail? What about the possibility of the velvety lip of hookeri? This is one of those “We'll have to wait and see” crosses, and I am trying to be patient! (Thank you, Fred, for the description!)
